A: The UK Environmental Protection Act 1990 - allows for your dog if found as a stray, to be sold or destroyed if not claimed within seven days. Cats and other pets have no such protection under law.

Q: What are the statistics for missing pets
in the UK?

A: 250,000 pets go missing every year within the UK. That's nearly 5,000 a week, every week of the year! Only 8% are returned to their owners - that's less than 1 in 10. And that's where we come in - Our aim at Pethunters is to redress these shocking statistics - and get pets back with their owners, safe and sound.
