services, competitions and promotions by many companies in the pet

A: Our package is comprehensive and dedicated to exploring every lead
in the quest to successfully reunite you with your missing pet. Everyone
at Pethunters is a dedicated animal carer, trained in helping and supporting
you at this very stressful and worrying time. Unlike other agencies
Pethunters is not just for reuniting dogs we specialise in reuniting
all pets, from houshold pets like dogs, cats and birds through to the
more exotic animals such as horses, and reptilian pets.
Q: Why does
every animal have to have a reward attached?
A: We believe the Pethunters Reward Scheme encourages animal shelters,
vets and members of the public to double-check our site first as a
matter of course before destroying, selling or keeping your pet. Members
of the public who find a stray will be encouraged to make contact with
us because the Pethunters Reward Scheme guarantees them a financial
sum as payment for their good citizenship and thoughtful behaviour.
Q:
What's to stop someone stealing a pet for the reward?
A: The reward is dictated by the owner of the pet. The reward is initially
paid to Pethunters who varifies the authenticity of the claiment before
settlement. Pethunters works closely with the Police and monitors all
reward payouts for fraud.
Q: Where are you based?
A: Pethunters is a UK-wide company with offices in Cambridge, Hertfordshire,
Lancashire and Glasgow.
Q: What is the UK law regarding missing pets?
A: The UK Environmental Protection Act 1990 - allows for your dog if
found as a stray, to be sold or destroyed if not claimed within seven
days. Cats and other pets have no such protection under law.
Q: What
are the statistics for missing pets
in the UK?
A: 250,000 pets go missing every year within the UK. That's
nearly 5,000 a week, every week of the year! Only 8% are returned to
their owners - that's less than 1
in 10. And that's where we come in - Our aim at Pethunters
is to redress these shocking statistics - and get pets back with
their owners, safe and sound.
